The NIACC job expo will take place April 2nd. According to the website for the expo, "Whether you're seeking a fresh start or aiming to find your passion, this Job Expo has something for everyone."
North Iowa Area Community College will open its doors on April 2 from 10 AM to 1 PM for a Job Expo Fair. The fair allows businesses to meet students who are seeking employment opportunities. Students will get the chance to learn about the different types of businesses, possibly landing interviews or job offers.
The fair is a way to help boost and prepare students for their futures.
“In today’s digital world, engaging with employers in person is more important than ever,” said Jenna Heiar, NIACC workforce specialist. “At the job expo, high school students can explore careers, connect with local businesses, and ask questions directly to industry professionals. It’s a great chance to discover new opportunities—and there will be numerous prize drawings, making it a potentially rewarding experience!”
Heiar says this is North Iowa’s largest Job Expo. So far, NIACC has a strong variety of 60+ employers that are registered to attend, including Curries, the U.S Army, Legacy Healthcare, and Diamond Jo Casino. Students are not required to register in advance to attend the event. Anyone interested can visit https://niacc-21835842.hs-sites.com/jobexpo2024-0 to learn more about the Job Expo.
