Mason City Boys Tennis hosted Des Moines North on Tuesday walking away with a clean 11-0 victory, with wins across all singles and doubles courts.
The boys’ tennis team delivered an outstanding performance Tuesday, sweeping all six singles matches in straight sets. Each player brought energy and focus to the court, helping the team to a decisive 6-0 victory.
“Johnny Thangaraj was the highlight of the evening of last night’s duel,” said Boys Tennis Coach Pat Kruger, “He was down 0-3 in both sets and came back and won.”
Thangaraj, a senior, was all smiles after the match.
“I felt pretty good about my serves,” said Thangaraj. “A lot of them were going in.”
Following a stellar showing in singles, the tennis team stayed perfect in doubles play, winning all five matches in straight sets.
