MCHS Rewards Students for ISASP Effort
Splashin' Into Summer

The Riverhawks celebrated the end of the year with a day in the sun. For the second year in a row, the students took part in a Reward Day for putting effort into the ISASP tests in April. These tests are a mandatory assessment that all public school students in Iowa take annually.

During this fun outing, students picked their favorite ice cream or popsicle treat and filled the football stadium.

The Best Buddies club offered a dunk tank where they had the opportunity to dunk the teachers including: Mr. Honecker, Mr. DeGabriel, Mr. Hunt, Mr. Krueger, and finally, Mr. Long. “The dunk tank was a blast! It was great to see the excitement from students and staff alike.  Everyone had a great time and were truly just having fun!” Long said.  “This is definitely something I would do again!”

The dunk tank was to raise money for the Best Buddies Club and they have raised one hundred and five dollars in total at the end of the day.

Some other students had the opportunity to walk the track, play soccer, and just have a good time with their peers.
