Girls Team Also Qualifies

Michael Solberg-Maas qualified for the 3A Individual State Bowling Meet. He leads the class in total pins and is third in both score per game and high series. The competition takes place Wednesday, February 26th at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo at 9 AM for a chance for a state title.  Our Isaiah Torres spoke to him one-on-one. Watch the video here.

The girls’ bowling team competes Tuesday afternoon. Representing the Riverhawks will be Abri Collins, Kylie Novak, Madison Hughes, Emily Bailey, Grace Wilson, Krystan Arnold, and Rae Traurig.

Isaiah Torres is a junior at MCHS. He grew up in Lake Mills, but he moved to Mason CIty in the summer of his sophomore year. He is in football, wrestling, and rugby. He also enjoys playing video games and his favorite games are “Red Dead Redemption”, “Red Dead Redemption 2”, and “L.A Noire”. With a strong work ethic and a desire to make a positive impact, he has earned a reputation as a driven and compassionate person. Doesn’t really have any future plans, or dreams besides moving to Canada. Isaiah joined the class, because he wanted to get better at writing. He also wanted to see the world from other perspectives.
