MCHS junior Sofia Ahari has a major cause for celebration this fall. After taking the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) standardized test in October, she received her score and found out that not only did she do well, she achieved a perfect score of 1520 out of 1520 available points. To put that into perspective, the average score for high school juniors in previous years is between a 920 and a 940. Achieving just 1450 out of 1520 puts a student in the top 1% of test takers.
Ahari says she “literally jumped off my couch” when she received her results. “It was a really awesome and positive experience,” she added. To see more of her reaction, check out this video!
