The Riverhawk Press website is also available to students and staff in an easy to access app. To download, search for “Student News Source” on the app store. You will then need to download the app and will be asked to search for your school manually or by location. If you are within 20 miles of Mason City High School, the app will automatically connect you to the Riverhawk Press. If not, you will need to search for the school manually. From there, you will be able to access the newspaper from your phone and enable notifications so you can stay up to date on news here at MCHS.

About the Contributor
Elise Dykstra, Editor-in-Chief
Elise has been working for the Press for two years and is excited to be serving this year as editor-in-chief. She enjoys journalism as a way to meet new people and tell stories that otherwise wouldn’t be told.
Outside of the newsroom, Elise enjoys running cross country, playing cello in the orchestra, playing soccer, and singing in the choir. Away from school, you can probably find her hanging out with friends or curled up with a book.
She plans to attend Northwestern University next year to study journalism with the hope of making writing news stories a career.
